From Stockholm to Uppsala Castle
Fast direct regional trains from Stockholm Central to Uppsala Central typically take around 35–40 minutes. Not all direct services are equally fast: commuter trains take longer. Journey times vary by departure and operator, so always check the current timetable before travelling.
The train is only part of the journey. From Uppsala Central, allow additional time to reach the castle and the meeting point at the castle tower. Include walking or other transport, the uphill approach and a margin before your tour starts – this is not a 40-minute door-to-door journey.
