What is a rooftop walk?
A guided walk across the roof of Uppsala Castle along purpose-built walkways and ladders, secured in a harness all the way.
Safety
You receive personal safety equipment and a briefing before heading out. After an indoor practice course you are clipped into the safety system running along the whole route.
The history
Uppsala Castle has been central to Swedish history for over 400 years. Your guide tells of kings, fires and power struggles.
Who operates it?
The rooftop walk is operated by GO Adventure AB. GO Adventure does not own or manage Uppsala Castle; it runs the activity at the castle.

The pole dance world champion on the roof
We had a visit from a pole dance world champion who climbed onto the roof of Uppsala Castle – and showed off her flexibility by the flagpole, secured in a harness the whole time. The view over autumn-coloured Uppsala made the perfect stage.
